I wish I were the kind of person that excelled at gift giving. I envy those folks. The ones who ALWAYS come up with the perfect idea, for any occasion, for ANY person. Even if it’s someone they met five minutes ago. I wasn’t born with that gift. BUT, I can cheat. I use Pinterest. And today, I’m going to help those of you who may need to cheat a little as well. If you’re looking for that amazing, personalized gift for someone this holiday, and need to stay within a reasonable budget, I’ve got some ideas. And ALL of these gifting options today come from one of the BEST places on the internet, in my opinion, to find gifts. ETSY. Today, I’m just working through gifts for adults, because kids are (in my opinion) WAY easier and more fun to shop for. It’s the adults that hang me up the most when I’m trying to check all the people off the Christmas list. *This post contains affiliate links. Please see our full disclosure policy HERE.*
I have a super talented friend named Lauren. She blogs at LittleWhiteHouseblog.com …she’s amazing (sidenote: so is her home…it was on the cover of Country Living this year!). She made one of these cutting boards using an old family recipe, and I fell in love. I don’t personally have the ability to make one of these myself, but you know who can? Some awesome vendors on Etsy! You send them an image of that old 4×6 recipe card that your great grandmother hand-wrote, and they will send it back to you, IN YOUR GREAT GRANDMA’S HANDWRITING, on a cutting board!! I think it’s SUCH a lovely idea, and I’m definitely giving one (or maybe two) of these this year.
There are many things on Etsy that I look at, and get tempted to try to DIY. But as I recently posted, in my “stupid things that DIY’ers say” post, I have to catch myself…instead of spending hours and hours on certain projects, some are better left to be DIY’ed by the ol credit card. Take this adorable pom pom garland. Could you do it yourself? Maybe, but I bet it would take twice as long as you think it would, and cost you at least 3/4 the money as it would to just buy it and have it arrive neatly packaged on your doorstep. Sometimes we need to save ourselves the hassle, right?
This is one HECK of a genius design, IMHO. Your toddler wants you to play cars and trucks AGAIN?! Well, now you can do it with enthusiasm as you simply get to lay still while little Billy plays cars on your back and YOU get a nice back rub out of the deal. #Winning
If you don’t know anyone who would like this, email me. I’ll send you my address 😉
Because it just makes me laugh.
Form + function in this gift! This one is a great option for probably many of the men on our lists.
This would make so many people happy! A big ol box of homemade, all natural bath bombs!!! I mean, having the opportunity to take a bath is a pretty sweet gift to ourselves, anyhow, but throw one of these into the equation, and it’s a little piece of heaven on earth if you ask me!
I love giving or receiving ornaments for the holidays, and I think this one is beautiful and unique.
Totally purchased this bad boy for my brother. He may be almost 40, but he’s probably not too old to hit me, which is exactly what this HILARIOUS mug is totally setting me up for! Know what? It will be totally worth it.
I think this is one of the most adorable, festive ideas I’ve seen! Perfect for someone who has rustic, farmhouse sensibilities.
I LOVE how adorably cozy this sweatshirt is. I’m tempted to buy this one for myself…or at least add it to my list for Santa.
If you’ve been to my blog before, you may know I already own several of these pillows made by the Etsy store Finch and Cotter. I use them, I’ve gifted them, and 100% of the time, they have been a total hit. Made for any state, and the heart can be placed anywhere in the state you’d like! They come in many different color combos, sizes, etc. I highly recommend these 🙂
How adorable would this ornament be for someone who has recently moved or bought their first home? Personalized with their address.
YES! This will go perfectly with my minivan and ponytail combo. Please and thank you. My college girlfriends would all appreciate one of these guys.
Straight from the gangster rap tee to this adorable vintage sweetheart of an advent calendar. Random transition? Absolutely. And I love BOTH 🙂
Hee hee. So perfect.
How’s that for #MondayMotivation ?! Everyone can use a good inspirational mug.
There are tons of handmade soy candles on Etsy to choose from. I like these because the variety of labels they have is so fun…and they come in a variety of scents, as well.
This Etsy shop makes a BUNCH of these instant download printables. Inexpensive and funny, you can print these and then frame them to work for whoever you plan to give it to.
Last, but not least a personalized tree skirt that is neutral enough for any home, but personalized at the same time. Embroidered with a family name or monogram.
