Decorator near me. Ever googled that?
“Decorator near me”. Thousands google that term every month. Be honest…are you one of them?

Over the years, many friends have asked me to help them decorate their homes. I love my friends, and I would do anything for them.
Need someone to pick you up in the middle of the night because your car ran out of gas? I’m your girl. Need to tell someone a secret that won’t be shared? You can count on me. Child picked up from school? Lawn mowed? Gladly. Happy to help.
I will not decorate your living room.
Seems odd, I’m aware…considering my love of design and decorating. But here’s the thing. I know what I like. I know what I don’t like. There are many things that I adore that my friends would abhor. And vice versa. Design and decorating, after all, are quite subjective. As they should be.
Decorating your home should be about making it right for YOU. And NO ONE can design something for you better than, well…YOU!
You may be thinking, “Look, people go to design school, learn how to decorate then offer their services for a reason. If I need my car repaired, I go to a mechanic. If I need surgery, I go to a surgeon.
If I need my home decorated, it stands to reason that I should go ahead and google decorators near me, then hire one of those people.” Yes, that sounds logical.
But is it practical? And is that in your budget?
If you are reading this right now, my educated guess is that you are a person who wants to live in a home that you love. A home that makes you feel happy, secure, and comfortable.
I’m also quite certain you have taste. You may like different styles (farmhouse, industrial, boho). Over the years of talking with you, reading your emails, looking through the pictures you’ve sent me of your own DIY and decorating projects…through all of it, the running theme has been that ALL of you have great taste and style.
So listen up. If you just googled “decorator near me” you need to resist the urge to click one of those random search results. TAKE YOUR index finger OFF the mouse, friend. Because the truth is…
THE BEST person to design your home is…YOU. Not me. And definitely not that “decorator near me” that will cost you $75-$150/hour.
And that is why I’m SOOO excited about my best blogging buddy‘s tool that she is launching TODAY.
Right now, this tool will cost you less than what a decorator would charge you for even just one hour of their time.
And this toolkit has every. single. thing. you will need in order to get your thoughts, wants, needs, likes and dislikes laid out into a cohesive plan. A plan that you can execute…and stay on budget in the process.
- design tips, tricks & instruction (like how to choose the right paint palette)
- tools to ensure you are choosing furniture that is the right size and scale for your space
- ideas for how to initiate the process if you’ve felt a bit of design paralysis
- space planning guides
- budgeting tools and worksheets
