welcome to nesting e-design!
You want your child to have a beautiful nursery, bedroom or playroom space but struggle with the time commitment or vision to make it happen.
I’d love to help! I provide online interior design services for kids’ spaces of all kind.
I’d love to help you with yours! Here are some more details about these services.
Nesting e-Design FAQ’s:
Q: How long does the design process take?
A: Once I receive your payment, I will forward you the design questionnaire. Once that is complete, the process will take 2-4 weeks to complete, depending on how many clients are in the queue ahead of you. I will give you an estimated timeline once I receive your questionnaire.
Q: Will you come to my house?
I do not do in-home design appointments, although I’m happy to come to your home virtually during our 30-minute consult via video chat!
Q: What exactly is a mood board?
A mood board or vision board is a pictorial representation of an actual room. I’ll pick out pieces of furniture, wallpaper samples, paint chips, art, textiles, etc. and place pictures of those items onto a computerized canvas.
A mood board won’t necessarily include EVERY item that I’d recommend including in a space (because that would get pretty crowded and difficult to look at). But additional decor items will be included with links in your shopping list so that you can get a comprehensive understanding of everything that would be inside your room.
Here are a couple of examples of mood boards for you to check out↴

Q: Will you revise the mood board if I’m not a fan?
I will do my best to base your design off of the information you provide on your questionnaire and during our 30-minute consult. The whole kid-and-kaboodle package includes one-round of revisions though, so we make sure we get your design as perfect as can be!
Q: After I receive my mood board, then what?
Your mood board will come with a shopping list that shows you every element you’ll need in order to bring the design to life! If you’re a DIY’er, we can discuss what items in the space you’d like to tackle on your own instead of purchase. You don’t have to buy everything at once! You’ll have the shopping list so that you can buy things as you’re able, whenever it fits into your budget.
Q: Are you a trained interior designer?
I hold a bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degree. That said, none of these degrees are in the field of interior design! My knowledge and education in the arena of nursery design and kids’ room design have been strictly on-the-job. That job being motherhood.

While I do not have a degree in interior design, I am proud to say that each and every kids’ space I’ve ever created has been published in various places, both in print and online. These publications include Better Homes & Gardens, House Beautiful, Good Housekeeping, Country Living, This Old House, The Today Show and many more.
Q: What ages of children will you design for?
I’m happy to work on a space for a newborn all the way to a college dorm!
Q: Do you have an affiliate program?
Not at this time.
Q: I have more questions. How can I reach you?
There are a couple of ways to touch base:
