Don’t you love looking at beautiful bedrooms? I do. It’s fun to get new ideas for bedroom decor. So I was really happy to be asked by Tammy of Pink Peppermint Design to be one of 20 home bloggers to take part in this beautiful bedrooms tour! You are going to LOVE 19 of these spaces!

If you are here from Amy and Christy’s blog 11 Magnolia Lane, WELCOME! Tammy, Christy and Amy are some of my favorite home design bloggers out there. And MANY of my other favorites are participating in this tour, so definitely check those out…they are all listed below!!
As for mine…bedroom #20 on the tour…I decided to share our master bedroom that we finished earlier this year. Here’s a link to the reveal post, with lots of pictures of the whole space, which I’m still quite smitten with.
Here’s an older photo of the space.

BUT…
I’ve gotta come clean and tell you that I am a very dishonest person. Let me explain. Here’s a shot of our master bedroom that I took this past week:

And before I show you the others pics and come out with the sad but real truth…this video should explain things a little more:
Looks pretty I think, right? Here’s another…

Noticing anything yet?

If you’re thinking… “hmmm, there’s something fishy about these pictures,” then you’d be right.
Did you notice EVERY. SINGLE. ONE was of like a whopping 1/8th of the room? One teeny, tiny little corner? Wanna know why?

Here’s a shot of the room I took this morning:

Did you notice the large item on the righthand side of this loveliest of shots? Yes. That would be a bathtub. In our bedroom. Yes. That is happening right at this very moment. Along with the rest of this disaster.
In my defense, we are renovating our master bathroom right now (here’s our mood board/plans for it…YAY!). So that’s a kind of legit excuse for this insanity, right? Here it is in panoramic view…just in case you didn’t get enough of an eyeful in the shot above:

And I call myself a decorating blogger? Wow. HOW DARE I?
I know. It’s pretty bad, people. But I guess it could be worse…I could call myself a cleaning and organizing blogger 🤷♀️.

So glad you took a minute out of your busy day to stop by and see us and our craziness here. Now go check out the next home on the tour! And that would be the home (and bedroom of) the lovely Melaine of My Sweet Savannah!

Your video, Heather–I laughed until I cried!! I love that there’s an actual bathtub in your bedroom. Hands-down my favorite bedroom! 😉
Heather says
You’re the best Christy 😉 Thank you from me…in my bathtub…still residing in my bedroom. I’m going to hide here so I don’t have to sand drywall today (AGAIN) in an effort to get the bathtub OUT of the bedroom and into the space it’s supposed to be ?.
Tammy says
Heather you are hilarious. I always love reading your posts. The behind the scenes shot is my favorite…because let’s be real…that’s what most of our bedrooms look like 95% percent of the time, right? Ok, maybe minus the bathtub. lol! Your bedroom is gorgeous and I can’t wait to see the finished bathroom! So exciting!!

I love this, reality at it’s best. Your bedroom reveal is a gorgeous room and I am sure the bathroom will be stunning too. Can’t wait to see it.
Heather says
You are always so kind, and coming from someone whose home is SO beautiful and put together, this is a wonderful compliment, and I appreciate it! Thanks so very much, Marty!!
