Goals for the New Year... It's January friends. The month that we enter into with the loftiest of intentions and the highest of aspirations. Much like the month of March, which comes in like a lion, we enter January like a raging bull. Our heads high, our gym memberships paid in full, our new calorie tracking app geared up and ready to register all those chia seeds and kale we'll be ingesting. Ahhhh, the smell of optimism is in the air. Until...about January 20th or so. Then, the smell ... Read More about Some Pipe Dreams for 2016
2015 Penny-Pinching Punchlist Playback

The Costco parking lot, the lingering taste of envelope glue after licking 200 envelopes ala Susan on that fantastic Seinfeld episode? More than any of these things, it's the COST, at least for my family, is the biggest ... Read More about 5 Ways to Use FREE Greenery for Winter & Holiday Decor

A winter's update from our DIY painted Christmas Village... Almost Christmas time. Last week, we took the kids to Ford's Theater in DC to see Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol. If you ever get the chance to see a show at Ford's Theater, I highly recommend it. The feeling of importance and history just kind of oozes throughout that space. The show was great. The kids loved it...except for the "Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come". Let's face it. That guy will scare the you-know-what out ... Read More about It Takes A Village, People.
