Do you know there are like a gazillion shades of pink paint out there? Literally a gazillion. So this week, we poured through all gazillion kinds of pink paint and landed here…
Razzle Dazzle
And the funniest thing, coming from someone who does NOT like many if ANY of the shades of pink paint is that…
I’m starting to dig this pink project, people.
This week for the continuation of this one room challenge fiasco fun-fest, we have been picking the paint palette. And I must say, pink has the power of persuasion because I’m starting to climb aboard the pink train. I’m beginning to sip the pink lemonade, perhaps.
It’s razzle dazzling…fitting since the color we’ve chosen for the ceiling is “RAZZLE DAZZLE” by Ben Moore. I mean, it doesn’t get more fun than that, right?!
Yes, there is now a HUGE pink target on the ceiling now. Are you thinking I’m crazy? Of course, you are! You likely had figured that out at least 2 paragraphs ago. So with the target clearly placed, it’s time to hang the ceiling molding…
Which, sadly, is looking less and less simple (see above). Luckily, we have boatloads of caulk and wood putty on hand, as most DIY’ers do. We also chose a wall color. I actually really liked the one that was in there originally…see below:
It’s a basic off white with a tinge of pink in it. But it had likely been up there for years and yearsssss, and it just looked a tad dingy.
So, I drank some paint propaganda to go along with my pink lemonade, and we’re opting for the 2016 “color of the year” by Ben Moore. “Simply White”. I feel kinda un-original, but, it is a pretty great non-color color.
The other happenings in here this week involved our new, vintage bamboo desk. It is getting Razzle Dazzled…
We’ve purchased or thrifted a bunch of the items for this space already. Here are the sources:
Here’s our Pink Bedroom Plan
