Color Crush | Greenery

 crushing hard on the color green…

 

Maybe it’s spring. Maybe it’s seeing everything sprouting and growing, and that makes me wish I had some sort of gardening capability. Some sort of green thumb. Whatever the cause, I’ve got a total color crush on green at the moment.

For months, I’ve been pinning EVERY. SINGLE. GREEN. THING. Here is just a small sampling of the green things that have captured my attention (and my greenbacks ? ?)…

 

 

 

 

I can’t pretend I’m somehow original to be having a thing for green these days. After all, Pantone chose “Greenery” as the color of the year for 2017.

 

 

So it’s EVERYWHERE. And since I’m on Pinterest more than I probably should be, there’s no escaping green.

 

 

Truth be told, I really don’t want to escape it though, either. Not when eye candy like this is springing up, making me green with envy. There’s green wallpaper.

Green art. Aren’t those lovely? You can purchase these gorgeous banana leaf wall prints from the talented Sarah Dorsey’s Etsy store, if you’d like those to grace your walls, too.

 

 

I’m thinking 50 shades of gray is history. 50 shades of green is IN, and much more upbeat, I must say. Plus, it’s way yummier than gray…

Green even makes drinks more delicious. Like this gorgeous rum concoction with a sweet little green sprig. She calls it “About figgin thyme.”

 

 

And then there are those lovely green plants. The kind that you’re supposed to keep alive.

 

 

Somehow all these boho-happy design buffs were not only graced with decorating sense, they also know how to garden. And their green spaces make me smile.

Unless I try to keep such things alive in my own house. Then, no more smiles. “Attempted gardening” is a crime here. If there was a way to murder a plastic fiddle leaf fig, I’d probably find it. Sigh.

So for now, any of the “alive” green things will have to visit my house via Pinterest, only. But I am certainly not promising anyone that some new green shoes will not be arriving here at any moment…to go with my new green palm print dress. Happy Mother’s Day to me ?
