8. Applique for the Win | Bless’er House

Paint the dresser white and add some same-color appliques to each drawer panel along with some flower knobs for an easy hack that looks all fancy-schmancy and girly!
9. Rast Hack | Hawthorne and Main
This hack looks like a stencil was used, but nope. All it took was some good ol’ fashioned painter’s tape and paint to create that cool stencil effect.
I love the contrast of the paint against the natural wood and the fun knobs.
10. Frugal and Quick | DIY Don’t Ya
This may be the quickest and least complicated hack on this list, but it certainly does the trick. With those amazing pulls and the terrific paint job, no one would ever think this dresser was from Ikea.
11. Mid-Century Modern | Kristi Murphy
All you need for this hack are glue, scissors, and a screwdriver!

15. Textured Linen Panels | Centsational Style
Woah. I had to take another look at this one.

16. Tarva Makeover | Oh Lovely Day
Paint the dresser while leaving the legs a natural color. Finish off your makeover with the super fun hardware of your choice.
17. Paint and Knobs | It All Started With Paint
There’s a reason that paint and hardware are the most popular hack choices for Ikea dressers. They are cheap and effective. When your wallet can’t afford an expensive piece of furniture, do you really think it can afford an expensive makeover?
Bottom line: you can’t go wrong with classic paint and fun hardware.
18. Lion Head Drawer Pulls | Cup Half Full

Plus, the dresser ties into the room decor like they were meant for each other.
21. Graphic Look | Style at Home
This hack is terrific and shows how a dresser doesn’t need to live in a bedroom. After distressing the drawer edges, adding paint, stenciled numbers and castors on the bottom, this practical Ikea dresser hack lives in the laundry room to provide some serious storage.
22. Fabric Panels | A Step in the Journey
Adding fabric to furniture just gives the piece a dimension that nothing else can quite achieve. The process in this hack is similar to the one listed above, but the effect is much different.
Can’t you just see this dresser in a child’s bedroom?

If you love living a colorful life, embrace it!
