I love this post and we ordered the exact same potting bench. Sanded it down, used Kilz, and painted with a navy blue paint that we colored matched with an outdoor table we had. Painting was more difficult that expected. However, this was just because we had to get between the planks, under all the corners, and covering the white Kilz with navy was difficult. The price we paid was reasonable. However, we have seen the very same bench online priced from a few hundred to double the price we just paid a couple of months ago. Putting this together was a breeze! We are using ours exactly as they are using in this post. Ours will be inside a pool house. So far – Love it!

Yeah, it’s never fun painting between planks, right? But ours still looks great years later. Hope yours does, too!
