These adorable door wreaths are colorful, affordable, and are the perfect addition to your summer door or next partyโฆ
Iโve said this before, and meant it each timeโฆbut I keep challenging myself to create the easiest DIY projects ever, and right now, these door wreaths totally top the easy chart.
Even I am impressed with my laziness, guys. Because Iโm really not sure if Iโll ever be able to top this one.

You need two supplies, and 10-minutes to complete this summer wreath.
And thatโs 10-minutes ONLY if youโre drinking a margarita, watching three kids, making dinner, and one of these door wreaths ALL AT THE SAME TIME. Otherwise, this project will probably take you five minutes โฐ, and cost less than $10, ALL IN.

Supplies needed for these Easy Summer Door Wreaths from Cocktail Umbrellas
- cocktail umbrellasโ the one I used was 16โณ diameter
- foam wreath formโ the ones I used had canopies about 6โณ across

Hereโs a quick video tutorial for the project:

How to Assemble Door Wreaths with Cocktail Umbrellas
These cocktail umbrella door wreaths are embarrassingly easy to make. But Iโll take easy over hard any day, right? So here are the insanely easy instructionsโฆ

1. Stick the cocktail umbrellas into the styrofoam wreath.
Aaaannnnd, thatโs it. Howโs that for easiest DIY project EVER?! I will give you a couple of tips, just so I feel better about posting something this simpleโฆso indulge me:

Here are a few simple tips to make assembly go smoothly:
- remember that this will hang on a flat surface, so donโt insert umbrellas where they will cross over the side plane of the wreath, otherwise, those umbrellas will get crushed, and your wreath will hang funny.
- these door wreaths are very lightweight. I wouldnโt hang one in an area with a ton of windโฆotherwise, youโll end up with flying cocktail umbrellas. We mounted ours over our outdoor bar and use it mostly for parties. Itโs not a wreath youโd hang outside all summerโฆit just wonโt last.
- the cocktail umbrellas I used were really big. The canopies were about 5-6โณ across. I think it might work even better with smaller ones if you can find them.
- to make these door wreaths more sturdy, you could hot glue them in place, or use some type of super glue on the ends of the cocktail umbrellas. I didnโt do that, but you certainly could.
