To complete this project, you’ll need the following supplies…
To Add DIY Tassels To Your Basic Target Bath Mat, You’ll Need:

How to add DIY tassels to a basic Target bath mat:
1. Make Your DIY tassels.
If you don’t already know how to create DIY tassels, no problem. Check out the video above which shows how to make DIY tassels (we used this technique to create them for a fun tassel throw blanket if you want to check that out as well).
Easy breezy, right? For our basic Target bath mat, I made six tassels.
And feel free to make them any color that you love or that will work best in your space. For our kids’ bathroom, I chose the deep yellow seen below.
2. Use a large needle to thread your tassels onto the bath rug.
With your tassels made, all that’s left to do is attach them to your bath mat.
To do this, grab a needle with a large eye. The eye needs to be large enough to accommodate yarn.
Simply thread one of the “tails” of the yarn attached to the top of your tassel. Now weave the threaded needle through the edge of your bath mat in whatever location you want it to be situated in.
I placed three tassels on each side of the Target bath mat, for a total of six altogether. You can either eyeball the distance between them, or get really official and use a measuring tape or ruler.
Either way, you just need to knot the ends of the tassel to secure it to the bath rug.
I knotted the yarn on the backside of the bath mat so you couldn’t see the knot. And that’s all there is to it!
