An Easy Mod Podge DIY Pumpkin from your favorite magazine…
A DIY pumpkin from a People magazine? Why not? It’s a) quirky b) a little cheeky c) completely unorthodox. Add those together, and the sum total is F-U-N.
The world is full-o-serious right now. Why not get out some merlot and the Mod Podge and do something a little 2nd-grade-esque for a few minutes? I don’t know about you, but non-serious fits me like a fave pair of blue jeans at this moment in time.
How to make a Mod Podge and magazine DIY pumpkin:
This DIY pumpkin is so super duper easy I’m not even going to bore you with an official tutorial. The basics are: cut out some fun, colorful images from your magazine(s), then glue them onto your pumpkin. Ta-da! Remember when working with Mod Podge, more is usually better.
The more Mod Podge, the more your images will really look like they are a part of the pumpkin. This is NOT a clean craft. Use your fingers to smoothe out wrinkles and bumps.
This DIY pumpkin craft would be great for the kids, too because there’s really NOTHING to it. Just maybe not with the People or Us Weekly ;). If you want to see how it’s done, check out the quick video tutorial below:
