DIY fox ornament…
What does the fox say? I’ll tell you what he says. He says “aren’t I a super cute fox ornament for your Christmas tree?” And I say, “heck yes you are!”

I went on a felt ornament making binge this fall. We already published a “sunshine in my pocket” ornament, and a sweet little “pig in a blanket” ornament. And this little “fox in sox” ornament I’m sharing today was another one of the little guys I whipped up during the whirlwind.
Isn’t he cute? I made it so that you can take the little fox in and out of his sock.
I used two free patterns that I found on Pinterest to whip this little guy up.

Supplies needed for DIY fox ornament:
- felt any color combo you want
- thread (various colors depending on your color scheme)
- (2) teensy tiny black beads (with a hole in each…like you’d use for jewelry-making)
- needle for hand-stitching
- scissors
- stuffing
- yarn or ribbon for making loop tree hanger
How to assemble your fox ornament:
There are simple tutorials on both of the sites linked above for the fox and the sock patterns, so I followed those. I did add some stitching around the heel and toes of the sock just because I liked the look, but that’s not necessary. The only “extra” step you’ll need to do is to stitch some type of ribbon or yarn to the top of your sock so that you have something that will let the sock hang from the Christmas tree.
And that’s it! Hope you enjoy this sweet little fox ornament, or give it to someone else who will love it, too! Happy holidays!
