Gingham print. Every time I see it, whatever it’s on, I want one. I don’t know what it is about the plaid print that sets my heart aflutter, but it does. It’s a classic. I feel like whatever I buy in gingham print, I’ll love it for the long term.

Remember the chevron rage? It came, it went. Chevron was like a college fling. And now I kind of regret certain chevron decisions I made. But gingham? Gingham is a keeper. Gingham is in it for the long haul. Gingham is long-term relationship material (get it? “material”…like fabric? Because gingham is a fabric?? I know, not that good, but I still kinda laughed).

I realized that I’d been pinning the heck out of gingham print on Pinterest lately. So I wanted to share all these gingham favorites in case you, too, are gaga for all things in gingham print!
Top Notch Gingham Print Tops:
Let’s start at the top. Or tops, I should say. Check out these adorable shirts and such. I’m loving the ruffled one-shoulder look lately, so in gingham, I’m sold!
Adorable Gingham Print Skirts and Dresses:
Do you love sundresses? I sure do. And I’m TOTALLY partial to Lilly Pulitzer skorts of late, as well! It’s the look of a skirt with the function of shorts for all us moms who want to look good but still be able to play on the floor with the kids without flashing the neighborhood, right?! And gingham is such a summary, classic look…it can be dressy or casual. Great resort wear, in my book.
Beautiful Buffalo Check Home Decor:
We are getting ready to do a bit of an overhaul in our oldest’s room, so I’ve been eyeing gingham duvets for a while now. And a gingham print on anything for a cookout, outdoor party or dinner just feels totally right, doesn’t it? Gingham napkins, plates, etc…they’re all perfect for any summery fete.
Beautiful Buffalo Check Bottoms:
I brought home a pair of black gingham shorts from j. crew factory store this spring, and I’ve worn them at least a dozen times so far. It’s as simple and neutral to wear as denim, I think. Looks great with almost any top, solid or patterned.
Poolside Plaid:
I could have included 85 adorable little swimsuits for little girls here. There are SOOOO many sweet, gingham printed suits for girls out there! But I’m also loving the gingham suits for the guys. Dave and our oldest son are both in the market for new suits this summer, and I’m loving the one from Vineyard Vines.
Gingham for Little Gals and Guys:
The rainboots and umbrella combo?! So flipping cute!! And the bath hoodie? We have this one for our oldest…now 11. Sadly it doesn’t fit anymore.
Gorgeous Gingham Print Shoes & Accessories:
I’ve got a pair of gingham pumps (see them by the yellow pumps below?). And I LOVE them. Most of the time they just hang out on display in our master closet…but they make for great looking wall decor as well as shoes!
And with that, I will stop gushing on gingham print!! On to another fabric to fawn over. Like maybe…seersucker?
Perhaps palm?
Or how about classic red, white and blue Americana?
Are you pining for sweater weather? Then you’ll want to check out the corduroy skirts for women and corduroy jackets for men shopping posts, too!
Or perhaps some of these other ideas…
Pin this post for later! And if you buy any of these gingham prints, leave a comment (or better yet, a photo) on the pin! That helps others know if they’ll love these gingham items, too!

Love love love the gingham. That black and white longer skirt is not for my short self but it is beautiful. New house. New curtains. Thanks for the reminders.
