A super easy ribbon organizer for those craft supplies!
I’m pretty excited about this little DIY project, guys. I’ll be showing you how to make a DIY ribbon organizer from a $3 Ordning utensil holder. Who doesn’t love a good Ikea hack?!
It’s a super easy DIY organizing project. This one-minute video pretty much sums it all up without me needing to do my usual long-winded explanation of things.

As far as supplies go, there’s not much to report…
DIY Ribbon Organizer Ikea Hack Supplies
- Ikea Ordning utensil holder
- *You can also buy this item online HERE if you aren’t close to an Ikea, but they cost more 🙁
- Or, here’s an alternative product that would work great, too!
- ribbon spools
DIY Ribbon Organizer Ikea Hack How-To
1. Purchase utensil holder.
Again, ours was a very inexpensive Ikea item, but I’ve linked this item from Amazon as well as an alternative item, as well, if Ikea is not an option for you.
2. Rescue those ribbon spools from your junk drawer and stack them.
One at a time, place a spool of ribbon inside the utensil holder and feed the end through one of the holes in the canister.
Continue until your canister is full.
3. Tie a ribbon through the top of the canister.
This will help secure the spools inside the utensil holder. Plus, it looks cute 🙂
