Favorite throw blankets for fall and winter…
My favorite days are cold, rainy ones. That may sound odd to some, if not most people.
But when you love being home as much as I do, the best kind of days are the ones where it’s most miserable outside.
The days where I can stay in my PJs, my ugly, fuzzy socks, and nestle into the couch with that favorite cozy throw blanket.

Those cozy days are coming around again, and we are ready here. We’ve got a stockpile of staple throw blankets.
Each one has a designated home, like this Hudson blanket that lives in our oldest son’s room.
A Pendleton Badlands National Park blanket belongs in our youngest son’s “outdoor adventure room,” with a fishing/camping theme and DIY denim-painted walls.
There are lots of great throw blankets out there that are perfect for the fall and winter months. Like a squirrel gathering nuts in the fall before the long winter months, I’ve gathered together a list of favorite throw blankets, perfect for the seasonal weather.
Some are faux fur, some cable-knit.
Some are tartan, striped, or houndstooth. A few can even be monogrammed.
Some we already own, and others are on our wish list. We hope you find one you love too!

Even though each of our throw blankets has a “home” the reality is, they end up getting shlepped all around the house for snuggling purposes. As it should be with a good throw blanket.
Sometimes, those rascals will even sneak one outside!
Happy cuddling. And long live fuzzy, ugly socks.

I’ve got a 60+ year old Bronte Throw Blanket in that exact tartan plaid. It was my baby blanket, when I was born in Michigan. My mom preserved it in her cedar chest during the 24 years we lived in South Florida, until my first baby was born. It never got cold enough in Florida for me to actually use it.
Now that baby is almost 35 years old I live back in Michigan and use that blanket on my living room sofa when the winters get down below 20F.

Pam, I’d never heard of this kind of blanket, so I had to look it up! Beautiful!! And that’s wonderful when we have things like this that hold such fantastic, meaningful stories ❤️
